Walk Updates

We need volunteers to walk September 20th.

With individual volunteers plus volunteers from local clubs our first walk will be
September 20th from 1:30 - 5:00 p.m. We will walk Miamisburg precincts first. The Miamisburg call lists are back and data is being entered so Diane Lawerance will create walk lists as early as next week. We may need to schedule a second Miamisburg walk during an evening before the end of September. We will walk Germantown and possibly Farmersville in October. It takes a little time to plan and make packets for volunteers. Please continue to talk with your volunteers and confirm if they are interested in walking. The type walk in Miamisburg has not been decided at this time. The packets for the walks will have an address list, literature and map. The packet pick up location will be Miamisburg Library Park at the Gazebo and I'm working on a second location if needed. More info to come.

We need volunteers for the walks. I will make calls to any group or clubs you can recommend to help us. Put your thinking caps on.

Levy Lit Drop Walks "Alert"

I posted both Sept 17 & Sept 20 on the blog calendar as tenative "Lit Drop" dates and times. This will be confirmed by Wednesday September 9th. Please mark this on your own personal calendar.

What is a Lit Drop?
A lit drop is leaving information at the door of the homes within our precincts without knocking on doors. I will provide more details very soon.

Need Volunteer's For Festival's

I'm currently recruiting volunteer's for two festival's in Sept 2009.

I will need 2-3 volunteer's covering (2) scheduled shift times on each day. A total of 4-6 people each day passing out Levy & FRMP information on both days. Captain's if you can participate please post to the blog a time and location. Captain's please let me know or post to the blog volunteer's participating. You can also call me or e-mail me.

Doug Horvath will have a training on call lists using a PowerPoint presentaion Steve Knick prepared. He will also update volunteers on levy information. Captains if your volunteers need help understanding the process please invite them to the training. We have space for a total of 12 people. That includes Doug.

Captains and Volunteers

We will start with Monday's from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m as a scheduled call center night or meeting night. If we need a second evening we can schedule on Thursday's from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. Please notify Mickey or your captian so we know you are coming.

If you know of volunteers living or working in the area of Miamisburg, Farmersville Germantown or the southwest area but are working with another team it's possible they may need to use Dupps for a call center. Please welcome them to the call center at Dupps on Monday evenings. Twelve is the max. Please pass my phone number on and ask they notify me or a captain from our blog.

Captains, as a courtesy to each other we need to rotate call nights over the next
4-8 weeks. Please let me know what Monday's evenings you can work.

Dupps Call Center

I am meeting with the HR director of Dupps in Germantown on Friday, August 21, 2009. We are tenatively setting up call nights for Monday's and Thursday's. If you are interested in utilizing this facility on either night please call me. 371-6502.

Captians are welcome to schedule a group on the scheduled evenings for calling or meetings/trainings. We can have up to 12 volunteers including a captian each call night. There will be (8) land lines and up to (4) cubical's for cell phone use.

I will know more Friday.

Thank you Brent for your help. It see Monday evening was a success. Thank you all for attending. I appreciate your commitment to the campaign and to "Team Germantown". I will be back in full swing very soon and ready to help. Moving forward with call lists is awesome. Great job team!!!

Blog and Calendar Training Coming Monday

I will do a Blog Posting and Calendar Training at the Captain Pow Wow on Monday evening.

In the meantime set up a Google Account if you do not have one by going to www.google.com and looking in the upper right corner to set up an account.

See you on Monday if not on Sunday evening.

All volunteers will be able to use the calendar to view upcoming Team Germantown activity but Captains and key Volunteers will be able to post.

Hello Team,

I was out of town a couple days and now I'm back. I will call each of you Monday or Tuesday evening and touch base. Hopefully all of you received an e-mail alert from this blog and had time to register. Brent was a big help setting this up and I think it will be the best way for all of us to communicate information to each other. Please feel free to begin using the calender. A tentative captain's meeting is scheduled on the calender. The time will need moved around.
